3:50 pm

I managed to drag myself into the office at 9:00 this morning even though I woke with a migraine and stumbled my way around the apartment. The head cleared but the mess we call ArtNetWeb is still a mess though we seem to be making some sort of progress. Bonnie, Remo and I sat down and tried to decide just what it is we have and what we might do with it. I think, all along, my notion that we are a "hub" for the visual arts is the correct path. That way we don't have any competition to speak of and we can wheel and deal with everyone. But where does the money start flowing in. That's the problem.

Bonnie is going to make a connection with Kodak to see what we might be able to arrange in the form of a partnership. I did a search on artnetweb.com as a domain name and came up empty so will send in the registration as soon as I get the needed info back from Jon Schull at DA.

Gerry still thinks we should just focus on making great art then the money will come out of the blue from sponsors. I said that would only work if we were non-profit, and we don't want to go that route. As a for-profit organization we have to show that we can stand on our own and that means finding a source of revenue.

Jess has been officially fired from R.R. Donnelley, just five days before he would be eligible for disability. He's depressed more from the fact that he lost out to the corporate mentality than from the actual fact that he no longer has a job and isn't in any kind of shape to go out looking for another, though he's pretty depressed about that as well.

Sent Mom a note yesterday apologizing for being so quiet and promising to write more often, like I always promise her. She worries but not that much

I'd planned to take publicity photos of me and Remo this morning but didn't get the film and forgot to take the cable release with me though I did remember the camera and tripod. I'll go out today and get the film then take the photos tomorrow, get them developed and send one to Appalachia State University.
