ART+ (Art Positive) held their first meeting last night and we talked about doing a poster campaign aimed at making Mark Kostabi's name shit in all the clubs and galleries. Hunter Reynolds and Bill Dobbs organized it. Jim Fouratt, Harm Boukart and about five others were there. We agreed to have another meeting Wednesday to figure things out. I told Bill Arning about it.

Almost finished "Whitman/Fountain" but I'll let it sit for another day before I put the text on. Map almost done but I'm still fussing over it.

Prudential called to see if they could buy something and I told them Simon had all my work.

I hung my painting for Erotophobia and some other things around it then went to buy stretchers for new "totem" painting of Falls.

That evening I was late for ACT UP and missed the presentation for ART+ but Hunter said the reception was good. I talked to Kevin Absec about the City Hall Trial and he told me he's spending weekends on his boat. He may have invited me out on it -- it sleeps 14 -- but he didn't say when. He asked where I was going in August and I said the same place I always go, nowhere. He said nobody stays in town in August and I said some people do.

An action was planned for City Hall Thursday to protest a speech given by NYC Health Commissioner Joseph in Montreal about abolishing anonymous testing in favor of confidential testing. The city would promise to keep the names private but would contact partners. Sure. The city should do something about getting people into programs first then they will want to be tested. Such stupidity. Joseph and State Heath official Axelrod are fighting. All politics so nothing gets done.
