Tim's birthday and for a present I called and left him the message that Jeff Stryker's real name is Chuck. In lieu of a fifth of scotch that will have to do.

Publication party at Simon's last night for the new Wedge book "Global Television." A lot of people and very hot in the room so I sweated. Met Allan McCullum, Simon Watney and talked to Tim Landers who has a piece in the book on AIDS representation on TV. Sort of talked to Richard Marshall from the Whitney but he was more interested in the fish tank.

NOW called to tell me Operation Rescue was going to be in town Saturday and they would call at 7:00 am to let me know where to show up.

Shopped yesterday: new shorts, swimsuit, tank tops and socks. Bought a copy of Lolita and might use that or Pale Fire in a painting. Worked on Map painting. Figured out a way to put wood pieces up on the wall and now have to buy the wood and have them cut into 16" x 16" pieces. I think it will work if I use big nails.

I decided to have a brunch Sunday then decided not to. Invited Paul and Emily but they were going to the Catskills. Paul and Mark are in Fiji. Memorial Day is a drag when everyone is gone.
